The upstream converter normally preceding the AKS counters was removed, so as not to defrade the profiles of the KS beam.
A description of the beams has been presented as a poster at the 1998 European Accelerator Conference at Stockholm. A Postscript file (for printing only) of the short (3 pages) contribution to the Proceedings is available.
