M2 CHECKLIST

Check integrity of shielding and fences,
Check access system for all zones concerned,
In case the SPS momentum is below 350 GeV/c, intrododuce a bend limitation and/or TAX range limitation (to be discussed with TIS/RP and RSO),
If all the above is ok, remove Manual Veto,
Check magnets status,
Check collimator status and all collimator movements,
Check polarities of all magnets on which major interventions have been done,
Check and update TAXDT file,
Check the T6 target head, corresponding to the wanted beam mode,
Make sure the electron target is in the wanted position (i.e. OUT for muon or hadron mode, IN for electrons),
Check vacuum status,
Check wire chamber status (gas, HV),
Check positions and movements of absorbers,
Establish the wanted mode, using EA/BEAM/MODE,
Adapt STATUS/GENERAL and TUNE/SPECIAL/QUICK to the present state of equipment.
