The K12 beam refers to the system of simultaneous and almost colinear KS and KL beams that converge at a relative angle of 0.6 mrad towards the NA48 experiment, located in ECN3.

Note : The red curve indicates the beam envelope along the beam.

The above sketch is only schematic. Note that in fact the 'beam axis' shown is the central axis of the proton beam between T10 and the KS target. The offsets (about 72 mm) between the proton beam in the crystal-tagger region and around the KS target are not shown.
